Crusader Class Guide
Grand Cross
Designed for one thing, to destroy mobs of monsters and put the undead in their place.
There are two ways to level as a swordsmen. Like a regular VIT/STR
swordsmen going knight, or full INT using bash a lot. The latter is harder to do, takes more time. But the reward is beyond
compare.
GC = Grand Cross.... What is it? How does it work? What increases its power?
I choose to go all INT first with my build. I tell you it took forever as a swordsman but not long
as a crusader. In one week with level 10 GC I gained 20 million exp pts (from base 73 to base 81).
If that doesn't tell you how fast this build levels I got more.
At first it will be slow but get GC level 10 fast. It is your attack (if all
INT). If you go STR/VIT you might want to start adding INT for cost of GC
level 10 = 100 SP.
GC is a ground area affecting skill that dishes out 3 attacks per cell of type holy.
The caster also receives damage based on damage induced per hit. (This is called
Recoil.) Also the caster looses 20% of his max HP to cast the skill.
If 2 monsters are on same cell, they receive 2 hits from GC.
If 3 or more each will receive one hit. (Try to keep monsters on their cells.)
Area of ground covered is a 3x3 area around caster, then 4 cells in 4 main cardinal directions from caster.
The area will look as follows (C = caster X = cell hit by GC)

What determines the amount of damage per hit of GC ?
By this formula :
Low MATK :or: High MATK
GC Damage = [ (STR + (STR/10)^2 + (DEX/5) + (LUK/5) + {INT + (INT / 7) ^ 2 :or: INT + (INT / 5) ^ 2} + AttackCards + ImpositoManus + DemonBane(if applicable) ] * GCSkill Level * MonsterElemental%
Then your recoil will equal half of your GC damage.
Don't forget though there are other factors in reducing GC recoil, and they are :
1) Faith = 50% resistance to holy. GC = holy attack, thus you chop another 50% off recoil.
2) Get MDEF armor since GC is a MATK. Mirror Shield (-5%) or/and Gemmed Sallet
(-3%)
3) You are Demi-human, so use a cranial shield in a slotted mirror shield (-30%)
4) Have lots of priest friends have them use B.S.Sacrementi to enchant your armor with holy
Thus getting recoil to equal 0 damage.
5) Angelring Card ^_^ rich people. Also enchants armor with holy thus recoil = 0 damage.
No matter how you change recoil you still will loose the 20% of max HP as skill cast cost.
Recoil Damage = [ GC damage ] * 0.5 * 0.5 (10 Faith) * (1 - Demi-human % Resistance) * (1 - Holy % Resistance) * (1 - (MDEF Armor / 100)) - INT - (VIT / 2)
So get STR in 10s to maximize damage in GC and pump you INT to get higher attacks and SP
regain time.
INT is the way to go. With that much INT your SP regain with magnificent is self sufficient.
STR adds onto your GC making you more powerful.
STR = increases GC power get in group of 10s
AGI = useless waste of stats (don't upgrade)
VIT = some needed, get about 50 or so for def and resistance to stun, etc.
Also decreases GC recoil damage.
INT = Max it out for the SP and GC damage
DEX = get for cast time increase and increase in GC damage. Don't go past 50 total
DEX (not much help)
LUK = useless, increases GC damage but, not by much.
This build takes time to get to level 70 but after that you fly to 99 quickly.
I advise skill points in this fashion :
Swordsman Skills :
10 HP regain
10 Bash
9 Provoke
10 Endure (Can change now if you want)
10 Sword Mastery (Helps as swordsman and amplifies your bash) (Not needed for GC)
Crusader Skills :
10 Faith
6 HC
10 GC
1 Cure
3 Divine Protection
5 Demon Bane = increase attack on demons/undead with GC
10 Heal = helps priest and allows you to solo at higher lvls
4 Whatever you want I got Pecopeco fast walking and 3 guard for tanking
